Consider Politics for Crisis Communication Practice.

Donald J Trump is a walking, talking, tweeting crisis creator.

Once Donald trump  was elected, fear took over for many people and cultures causing a crisis along many walks of life.

However the real crisis causing events have started since Donald J Trump took office on January 20, 2017 and has since signed 8 executive orders, many of which have angered democrats and republicans alike.

On January 24, 2017 Donald Trump signed an executive order to allow the building of the Keystone XL oil pipelines to continue their building. This caused many Americans who believed the pipelines to be a bad choice, or who believed it would affect the area’s ecosystems in negative ways, but most importantly the pipeline will disturb burial grounds of Native American tribes. Not get near, but actually disturb graveyards. Causing massive protests from both the Native tribes, and anyone else outraged about the desecration of graves, and the detrimental environmental effects.

On January 25, 2017 Donald Trump signed the Border security and enforcement improvements taking a step towards building a wall along the Mexico United States border, and the construction of the 1954 mile wall will enter the planning stages and 5,000 border patrol officers will be hired on. This means that taxes will be increased on products to pay for the wall short term, and long term Trump plans to find ways for Mexico to pay for the construction and material cost. This has caused fear and panic among the low income families. This is due to the fact that “In a televised address, Mr Pena Nieto told the nation : “I’ve said time and again; Mexico won’t pay for any wall.” BBC. If Mexico won’t pay for the wall, who other than the citizens of the United States will pay for the wall?

On January 27, 2017 Trump signed an executive order that has caused massive protesting, as for the next 90 days refugees from seven countries are not allowed, with refugees from Syria have been barred from entering the United States indefinitely. This includes people with green cards, and visas, meaning people are stuck unable to walk past the flight gates in the United States. This means that fathers are unable to come home to children, children are unable to return to their parents, and mothers are denied into the county to see their children.

This is no longer the United States of America I knew, an America tied together with respect, love, and kindness. Where who you loved didn’t matter, what country you were from was insignificant, and what religion you held had nothing to do with who you were as a person.

Instead I say welcome, to the United States of Bigotry, where crisis is just another executive order signed by the 45th president of the United States.
